Two to three weeks later

By late April, the eucalyptus blossom had all gone, as had many of the birds that frequented the bird bath 3 weeks before.

There were of course small numbers of the birds that are usually in the area – New Holland Honeyeaters, Yellow-faced Honey Eaters, Wattlebirds, Red-browed Finches and Eastern Spinebills.

Blackbirds used the birdbath now that it was not crowded and the small Lace-Monitor was still on the roof looking out for careless birds.
